My goal is to help you create a polished manuscript that's ready for your publisher. And you never have to worry about AI or privacy when I'm your editor: I don't use AI and I don't use cloud-based storage.
Professional Standards
I have been professionally editing since 2008. My background is in marketing communications and the AP Stylebook, and over the years I have used The Chicago Manual of Style to edit both fiction and nonfiction. I have a BA degree in English and writing, and a specialized certificate in copyediting from the University of California San Diego. I am an active member of ACES, EFA, and Editors Canada.
Passion for Style
Too few people truly love their work. I'm so lucky to have found my passion, and I get to do it every day. As a writer, you probably share my enthusiasm for editing and syntax and semantics. Helping you with your manuscript is my greatest joy. When I'm editing something, I'm having fun; when I'm not editing something, I'm subconsciously editing menus, instructions, and signs.
